Useful resources
I'm aiming to collect on this site useful resources for clinical visual optics teaching that I come across on the web. Recently I came across Dr Bill's Optics Stuff (by William "Bill" F Long) which has some very high-quality notes relevant to ophthalmology residents. Very useful - so THANKS to Bill for making these things available online.
Another really superb site is Darryl Meister's "Opticampus" which provides comprehensive and beautifully presented courses on basic and moderately advanced topics. Again highly recommended.

Spectacle Optics
The script for today's talk on spectacle optics is on my Academia site here:
Optics for Residents: Spectacles
The first page has an exercise that you should be able to do within about 45 mins of quality time. It is well worth doing! (hint, hint). The PDF also includes a copy (for your personal use) of the Introduction to Visual Optics written by Darryl Meister (Carl Zeiss) and James Sheedy (Pacific University) which is a really great resource & highly recommended.
